You’ll need a drum sander and an edger. Both can be hired from Bunnings.

You’ll need a way to sand the corners – delta sander, scraper or sand paper on a block.

All the screws or nails will need to be at least 1.5mm below the surface to avoid tearing sand paper and damaging the “drum” on the hired equipment.

There is a lot of extra equipment that can be used, to get the best result (rotary sander with 400mm pad, orbital sander and pneumatic nail puller.

But with the items listed, you can get a a reasonably nice finish.
